The Lincoln and Welland Regiment Museum is sub-component of the Regimental Foundation, a charitable not-for-profit organization. Other than grants it receives no government funding to cover the operating costs of the museum. As such it relies heavily on our dedicated group of volunteers and a small staff to ensure that the museum continues to deliver engaging and informative interpretation of the Regiment’s history. We strive to create an environment where visitors can immerse themselves into our proud traditions and heritage. Almost all the money to cover the daily operating costs of the museum comes from donations.
It is with your support that it can continue to meet our mandate of researching, collecting, preserving, interpreting and exhibiting artifacts and archival records related to the Regiment to strengthen the public’s knowledge of Niagara’s shared military heritage.
There is no minimum amount for donation. Every single gift it receives is invested right back into the museum Please consider making a donation so that it can continue to provide this excellent heritage resource for generations to come.
Note: charitable tax receipts are available to all those who donate funds by cheque or gifts in kind.
Our museum is always looking to expand its collections, and we always welcome donations of artifacts, documentary and library materials and any other item that may be of significance to the museum. Donating an item to a museum will ensure that does not become a simple collectible but rather remains a significant historical item to be preserved in perpetuity. In general terms we seek out artifacts that aid in telling to history of the Lincoln and Welland Regiment and in a broader sense the story of the military in Niagara. However we examine every potential artifact donation on a case by case basis. If you feel you have an item that you would like preserved for future generations please feel free to fill out the following form and we can begin the process of ensuring your cherished item it preserved in the correct place in accordance with our Collection Policy.
